Ananda Nahu
Ananda Nahu is a Brazilian artist born in Juazeiro, a quiet city in the interior of Bahia. She grew up in Petrolina, an arid city in Pernanbuco state, separated from Juazeiro by the Sao Francisco river. This land is plagued by poverty; legacy of an unjust and racist system. She often portrays those who have been marginalized by society in her work.
